Taylor Swift performing Fifteen …
Fearless Tour… Speak Now Tour… Red Tour
In life you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team, but I didn’t know it at fifteen.
Missing you like this is such sweet sorrow
Won’t you come back to me?
I‘ll be here, today and here tomorrow
In dark blue Tennessee
tweet #dbtRedTour so taylor will play it!
Okay it makes me frustrate when people say that Taylor should write a song called ‘maybe I’m the problem’. They just assume she only blames the guy, which isn’t true! People who say that tasteless joke obviously have never actually listened to the lyrics to her songs. Also a lot of people just assume she disses guys which, she does sometimes but she also blames herself!
Here are all the lyrics or songs where she blames herself to prove that joke is incorrect.
Self-titled album (6 “breakup songs total): 1)Tim McGraw-nobody is getting blamed or bashed, it’s just about remembering their relationship and hoping he’ll think of her when he hears their song. 2) Teardrops on My Guitar-not a breakup song, Drew and Taylor never dated (just thought I put that in their since some people think it is). 3) A Perfectly Good Heart- “Maybe I should’ve seen the sings, should’ve read the writing on the wall. And realized by the distance in your eyes, that I would be the one to fall”. Blaming herself for not seeing that he would hurt her.
Fearless (8 Breakup songs): 1)Fifteen- “back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday but I realized some bigger dreams of mine.” song is about remembering how naive she was thinking the guy she was with was going to be her husband. It’s about remembering how she thought she knew everything and realizing now she didn’t. 2)White Horse- there are two lines where she blames herself for getting hurt “Stupid girl, I should’ve known I should’ve known” and maybe I was naive got lost in your eyes”. 3) Forever and Always-“Was I out of line? did I say something way to honest that made you run and hide”. she’s wondering if she came on to strong or was moving to fast and scared the guy. 4)Breathe-isn’t a breakup song, it’s about loosing a friend. The hidden message in the lyric booklet is “I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry”. 5)The Other Side of the door-“Me and my stupid pride are sitting here alone” and “I remember the slamming doors and all the things that I misread” she’s saying it’s her fault that she’s alone at the moment because of her pride and misreading what happened.
SPEAK NOW(5 breakup songs): 1)Back to December-THIS WHOLE ENTIRE SONG IS AN APOLOGY FOR BREAKING THE GUYS HEART. 2)Dear John- “Maybe it’s me and my blind optimism to blame” 3)Story of Us-“a simple complication miscommunication leads to fall out” there was a miscommunication, neither one of their faults. 4) Haunted-“You and I walk a fragile line, I have known it all this time” she knew that their relationship could end badly and was delicate.
RED(8 Breakup songs): 1)Treacherous-“I’d be smart to walk away” and “This Slope is treacherous this path is reckless” “this hope is dangerous”. She knows their’s a great chance of getting hurt and she shouldn’t get into this. 2)I Knew You Were Trouble-the song title…she knew he was trouble and she could get hurt and also the line “so shame on me now” because she knew but she went for it so she has herself to blame. 3) All Too Well-“maybe we got lost in translation maybe I asked for to much” she’s questioning if she fell to fast and scared him off. 4) Holy Ground-This song is remembering the good times in a relationship she’s not blaming him. “and I guess we fell apart in the usual way” 5) Sad Beautiful Tragic-“and you’ve got your demons and darling they all look like me” possibly means she hurt him. I’m not sure because this song is mysterious but I know she’s not blaming him.
